Christa + Hunter

One of the things I really enjoy about doing engagement sessions with couples before their wedding is that it gives us the opportunity to connect with couples on a personal level. We had met with Christa and Hunter earlier this year for a winter photoshoot traipsing around downtown Boston and so we felt like we were going to celebrate with friends.

The Bride got ready at the Envoy down town with its big spacious rooms overlooking the city scape Christa and her honored guests took a relaxed approach.  Meanwhile Hunter and his boys went bowling and opted for merriment of the more energetic kind. Eventually getting ready with his brother and heading out to see Christa for the first time.

As is more and more common these days, Christa and Hunter decided on doing a first look. They choose a spot over looking the water up on a quaint deck near the ICA where their wedding ceremony would be held. After seeing each other for the first time and soaking each other in we set about exploring the surrounding piers and parks.

This was the first time I had photographed a wedding at The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and I was absolutely blown away by the space. The ceremony was held out on the deck with the ocean only a few feet away. The whole space was stunning as well as inviting.

After such an eventful day you could literally feel the settling in as gusts entered the dinner hall. Hungry and happy and perhaps a bit tipsy the day ended with dancing and even a round of limbo!
